Help! I've been tagged...

My dear friend Christy tagged me to play. As if you all don't already know too much about me, here are 8 more things...

But first, the rules:

1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.

3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

8 random facts/habits about me ...

1. There is a point at which research can go too far... the picture here is proof of that. These are my Citizen's Police Academy classmates on one of our fun academy days ~ days that I spent learning way more than I needed to know about cop life. Just ask me about the CSI class! (As long as my hubby and best friend aren't around anyway.)

2. The baby I'm still recovering from in the picture (thankfully the picture is too small for you to see that I truly did resemble a whale before her birth) weighed 11 pounds and 8 ounces~ three weeks early. (insert loud clapping and gasps here LOL)

3. We've taught our kids all the old TV show tunes like Beverly Hillbillies, Gilligan's Island, and Green Acres. I've even snuck in a few of my fave 80's tunes minus the questionable, I-don't-want-to-explain-what-that-means lines.

4. Try as I might, I simply cannot get to bed before midnight.

5. No matter what my college transcript says, I am NOT smarter than a 5th grader!

6. But my almost fifth grader, who is positive she is MUCH smarter than me, is going to audition for the show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. Pray for us!

7. According to my best friend, my color-coded closet qualifies me as anal-retentive.

8. I am a die-hard University of Louisville fan~ GO CARDS! To the point that the last time U of L played my husband's team and we watched the game as a family, my then 18 month old daughter stood in front of him (in her black and red cheerleader outfit) and did the C-A-R-D-S cheers, much to my hubby's chagrin. I'm happy to report that UofL won. :-)

I tag..............

I had forgotten that you were a member of the 11 pounder club, too. It's an honour :-)

But my hat is off to you as you hold the honor of being in the 12 pounder club without meds! I'm in awe of that. ;-)

Hey Amy, thanks for including me, but you caught me when I'm kinda swamped, so I'm going to make do with one weird fact about me:

I adore bad translations. One of my favorites is an online Spanish-to-English recipe translation that takes "8 large potatoes, peeled" and makes it "8 great bare Popes." Mashed Popes, anyone?

Hey, you wanted weird. You got weird. :)

P.S.

Go Red Wings!!!! :)

Meg,

You are too funny! Thanks for joining the fun! But I think I'll pass on the mashed Popes. LOL

The post will be up on CFBA on the 9th.

Hey, M.C.!

Thank you SO MUCH for your very kind words about Ransomed Dreams and my writing! It still feels funny telling people I'm sorry, but sort of glad too, that I made them cry. ;-)

I'm looking forward to reading your CFBA review! Please be sure to leave your site address on the CFBA post because I'm going to do a blog post here directing people to the great blogs participating in the RD tour. Thanks so much for being a part of that!

Hey, Donna!

Very cool that one of your friends is now working with the Lady Cards!

As for our resident Aussie blogger, maybe we should look into an American verses the Magpies challenge? LOL Then again, maybe not. Smack talk is far more fun!

M.C.~ I'm so embarrassed! I should have known you were the CFBA assistant director. Sorry! Thanks so much for all you do with CFBA~ I'm thrilled to be part of such a great organization.

Mary,

Please tell your kiddos thanks so much for rooting for my oldest as she auditions! I'm sure you'll hear about it if my kiddo makes the show. I'll be blogging and emailing and shouting it from the roof top. ;-)

You gave birth to a 11 pounder, girl you are my hero. My goodness!!!!

My 13 year old reminds me daily, "I don't know anything". We had to go the Drs yesterday and the Dr looked at my son and said, "I will tell you right now when you turn 25 your Mom is going to look like the smartest person on earth" hehee I love that Dr.

color coded closet, hmmm.. won't ever let you see mine.

Loved reading this.
