Happy Memorial Day!

There's a poem I've read a number of years in a row about Memorial Day that never fails to bring tears. I don't know who to give a writing credit to, but as you read, I pray you will remember our Veterans and the men and women who are serving our country right now.

My daddy is a Veteran and proudly served our country. To him and to all the men and women who have served and are serving us well...THANK YOU!

Remember Our Veterans

It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN,
who salutes the Flag,

It is the VETERAN,
who serves under the Flag.

Please remember to pray for our VETERANS today!

Judy,

Thanks so much for your post and for reading on my website. ;-)

My heartfelt thanks to you and your husband for all you've both done in serving our country. I have a great deal of respect for military and our police~ local and federal.

I hope you'll be blessed by and enjoy my FBI series. The first book, Ransomed Dreams, is scheduled for launch in March of 2007. Any words of advice you care to share, I'm all ears. ;-)

Many blessings,
Amy
