6 random things

I don't know what I'd do without tags from friends to make me blog. ;-) A very sweet friend drew me out from under an avalanche of emails with the tag below. Thanks, Tori!

I have to tell you 6 unimportant things about myself, then tag 6 others to do the same and provide links to them and the original tagger.

1. I totally dig Godiva dark chocolate mint medallions.

2. I still have a teddy bear collection, including some bears from East Berlin.

3. I'm eating a gluten and dairy free diet and have found some foods that actually taste really good. ;-)

4. Blue is my favorite color.

5. My favorite place in the world is the beach.

6. I'm learning the joys of homemade chai instead of Starbucks.

Now, the six people I have tagged are: you! ;-) This is an if-you-want-to-play-along tag. So join the fun and leave a note in the comments.

Thanks for playing, Amy! (:

Hmmmm ... Godiva chocolate and teddy bears. A woman after my own heart!

I don't know if I could do a dairy free diet though. No chocolate! Ack!

Not sure if I'll play along yet or not. I just did a 100 Things About Me post. I think I'm sharing too much! But I must ask about your homemade chai. Care to share a recipe?

Hi Amy,
1.I love very corny, old movies, such as "With Six You Get Eggroll" with Lucille Ball.
2.I think Wi (or Wii?) is really great for people who cannot go out and do anything much, and a cop-out for the rest of us.
3.Church services with handbells make me smile for a long time afterward.
4.Rock Climbing is the bomb.
5.I can't keep Dutch Chocolate ice cream in the same house as me for more than twenty-four hours—proven fact.
6.Well written books, such as The Poisonwood Bible, which I am reading right now, are God's delightful gift to mankind.

Hope the eating more healthy is going well, Laurel! I'm sticking with it, but man is it hard to say no to chocolate and bread! ;-)

Jane,

Thanks so much for playing the 6 things game!

And your # 6 makes me smile and cry. Praise God He's using RD and HP to speak to your heart!

Hey, Tori!

Yep, dairy free is a challenge! But I can to a little serious dark chocolate. Not as tasty as the less intense chocolates, but I'm happy to have a little of a favorite treat. ;-)

Thanks for inviting me to play! It was fun to see how much we had in common.

Tanja,

Thanks for posting! 100 Things game? I know I'd say waaayyy too much. ;-)

As for the homemade chai, it's not totally homemade. We start with steaming some chai bags and then adding almond milk, honey and Stevia. It's a great alternative to my fave drink~ Starbucks white chocolate peppermint mocha. ;-)

Hey, Caleb's Mom!

Thanks for playing! And I'm with you on the WII~ it's great fun! My family can go out to exercise and we do. But the WII is great for rainy days or days when it's too hot for outdoors.
