As you enjoy pools, picnics and a day off work, I hope you'll remember to pray for the veterans and the families of those who have given their lives for freedom. Also for the men and women serving our country right now.
My grandfather died in World War 2. My dad is a veteran who proudly served our country in Desert Storm. So to my family and to all the men and women and their families who have served and are serving us well...THANK YOU!

Remember Our Veterans
It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
who has given us the right to vote.
It is the VETERAN,who serves under the Flag.
Freedom isn't free. Please remember to pray for our VETERANS and those serving our country today!

This is so good. I enjoyed reading about your days in the sun. We just returned from a trip to Hawaii. Our children took us there for our 50th Anniversary. Your book reading made me think of our daughter. She is always reading a book. I took a picture of her at the beach at Waikiki reading a book and again by the pool reading a book.
I hope you are having a good Memorial Day weekend.
Aloha
